Daniel Boucher

My name is Daniel Boucher. I am a Graphic Designer and have attended Century College since 2022. Ever since I was a kid I’ve been interested in art and design. Watching cartoons like Adventure Time was a big inspiration for me to become an illustrator. During High School, I signed up for all the art projects I could and found them much more fun and fulfilling then the other things we were assigned.

My time at Century has improved my skills in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Also, taking classes like intro to drawing helped with practical skills like composition and lighting. I was surprised by how interested I was when taking the typography class and learning the history of written language. I thought this would be a dry few hours taken away from my life, but it was more intriguing then I expected. Also, the later classes were a great introduction to the process of creating designs in the professional world. I didn’t see the value to making thumbnails and roughs before making a final product, but now I understand that they are the key difference between a good design and a great one. In the future I hope to design creative posters and logos for clients. Also, illustration and art are a passion for me, so I hope to incorporate those skills into my career as well.
